Al Khaleej tabs Qyidar Davis, ex Los Mochis

Qyidar Davis

Newly promoted Al Khaleej (SBL) inked 30-year old American 198cm swingman Qyidar Davis (college: Indiana State) for upcoming season. He played most recently at Pioneros de Los Mochis in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 30 games he just recently played he recorded very impressive stats: 15.0ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.6apg and 1.0spg last season. Great year indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican CIBACOPA Honorable Mention. He also played for Pueblo Nuevo (Santiago League) in Dominican Rep. league earlier that season.
Davis is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Davis has played previously professionally in Colombia (Titanes), Dominican Republic (San Lazaro, Plaza, La Mattica, Dosa and Reales), Germany (Eisbaeren Bremerhaven), Iraq (Al Karkh and Al Shurtah), Mexico, Qatar (Al Gharafa), Uruguay (25 de Agosto), Venezuela (Piratas) and The Basketball Tournament (The Nawd).
His team made it to the Venezuelan SPB Semifinals in 2023.
Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him to get the job in pro basketball.
He graduated from Indiana State in 2018 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball. Davis played for other colleges like: Louisiana Tech University, Indian Hills Community College, Pensacola State College.
